The trough/Wind Discontinuity from Vidarbha to South Tamil Nadu now runs from North-West Madhya Pradesh to South-Interior Karnataka across Interior Maharastra and North-interior Karnataka extending upto 0.9 km above Mean Sea Level.

As a result of this synoptic activity, Rainfall occurred in Few areas of Anantapuram, Chittoor, Kadapa and Kurnool districts of Rayalaseema. Here is the list of stations with Rainfall readings in (mm.):

Weather in Andhra Pradesh on 6th May 2020

The trough/Wind Discontinuity from Cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha to South Tamil Nadu across Telangana and Rayalaseema extending upto 0.9 kms above Mean Sea Level. Due to this, Vishakapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam received moderate to Heavy rainfall.
